Benefits of Being in Idaho FCCLA

Idaho FCCLA offers members opportunities to discover their potential.  There are many ways to be a member and involved including programs, projects, volunteering, and partnerships.

Any student who has taken a course in Family and Consumer Sciences, or as determined by the state department of education, middle school through grade 12 is eligible for active membership in an organized FCCLA chapter within their school. Once the state and national dues are paid, the student will be an official affiliated member. Teachers can join FCCLA too! Teachers certified to teach Family and Consumer Sciences education, or as determined by the state department of education, can serve as the FCCLA chapter Adviser.

Chapter affiliation is an important step in joining FCCLA. Chapters must affiliate by November 1st this year to continue to receive access to the resources in the FCCLA portal

go for the red awards

You could win an award when you Go For the Red! Awards are presented each year to individuals and chapters who have excelled in their recruitment efforts.

Individuals who recruit 3 or more members can apply for the individual award. All participants that meet the qualifications and deadline will be entered into a drawing for one of several prizes. Five awardees will be picked at random from those that qualify. All awardees will be provided with an electronic certificate of achievement.

Chapters that increase their members by 10 (bronze), 15 (silver), or 20 (gold) members from the previous year can apply for the chapter award. All participants that meet the qualifications and deadline will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win one of three $200 cash prizes. All chapter awardees will also be provided with an electronic certificate of achievement.

Applications for the 2020-2021 academic year are no longer being accepted. The 2021-2022 Go for the Red information will be available early August 2021.
